Koltsovo International Airport

The Koltsovo International was first opened in 1928 as a military base. Later on, on the 10th of July 1943 the Red Army Air Force Head commanded the military airport convert to a civilian airport called Sverdlovsk. Then on January the 1st, 1963, the Civil Flight Unit 120, the Airport and several other services came together and united into the Sverdlovsk Joint Air Unit of the Ural Civil Aviation Authority. The airport went through another face-lift and in 1991 it was restructured and became the First Sverdlovsk Air Enterprise.
