The Timan-Pechora Basin in northern Russia is a mature hydrocarbon province in which more than 170 oil and gas fields have been discovered. Reservoirs occur in sediments that range in age from Ordovician to Triassic, and include both carbonate and clastic units. The basin has a world-class Devonian source rock. Some parts of the basin, particularly in offshore areas, have not been extensively explored and as a result both exploration and EOR opportunities exist.
